Linux Network Administration 4

Cybersource's LNAA training course is a hands on practical course aimed at those already familiar with the basics of computer networking, but without existing Linux or Unix experience. This includes Windows administrators who need to gain practical skill necessary to configure and maintain existing Linux servers, those looking at Linux as a potential for fulfilling particular roles in their network, and those with some existing Linux experiences who want to round out, and fill gaps in, their knowledge. The course is not vendor specific, and practically oriented towards the real demands of administering Linux server systems. Courseware is produced by Cybersource and delivered by Cybersource's experienced instructors at either Advanced Training's premises in the Melbourne CBD or on-site at your business.

Coverage and skills. This course aims to impart a sound knowledge of system administration of Linux systems. Areas covered include user administration, storage and the filesytem, network services (Web service, FTP, file sharing, LDAP, etc) and security. On completion, attendees should have the skills and resources required to manage a Linux-based server system with minimal supervision.

Suitability and pre-requisites. This course is designed for those with experience in computer networking who have little or no experience with Unix based operating systems.

Duration. This course runs for four days.

Each attendee will have exclusive use of a PC for the duration of the course. Each attendee will receive full a full set of notes. The classroom arrangement is limited to twelve attendees per course. Limited email and web facilities will be available for attendees.
